I've been tagged by Savitha and coolblogger with a set of questionnaire to be answered. Thanks gals, for tagging me..Really ,it dusts back my memories and feel like I've lived again my past .. Thanks for the opportunity gals..
Here they comes...
1. What is your take on organic food , is it a big deal for you ?
For me, it's Yes and No .. No big deal as long as it falls under "affordable ".. When it comes to feeding my baby I always look out for a more safer and undoubtedly nutritious and healthier one ( no offense or take on non organic products.. it's just how I, a mom, feel ) though it might be bit expensive..
2. Do you time your breakfast, lunch & dinner or eat when you are hungry ?
Actually, my friends are the better judges when it comes to my eating habits. They use to say that I don follow a eating schedule. As far I know, Me and my H ,we don't follow a specific time or schedule to fix our meal. We hardly eat once or twice a day but now am trying to have atleast twice whenever I find time. But, for my baby, I'm bound and strictly following a schedule to feed my precious little one..:)
3. What inspired you to write a food blog ?
Thanks for the one who framed this question. The idea of creating a blog never struck me though I'm told a good cook. It was never a hankering wish either. Then one fine day, my friend Savitha of Savitha's kitchen started her blog and aired (over the net, i mean) her blog address. I called her to congratulate and she made me convinced and asked me to start a blog .. Thanks to her..
4. You try a new recipe and it does not turn out good, what will you do ?
I'll try to add some extra ingredients the recipe doesn't call for. Next option would be calling my Mom, a real saver ..:) . Somehow I'll make it work and if am not able to do so, My H will eat whatever it would be.... ( I know, he is so sweet !!!) ..Ofcourse he would be upset..His main motto is not to waste anything ..Not mine though !! ;)
5. Name three ingredients you consciously avoid or eliminate even when the recipe calls for it ?
Nowadays I've started to become conscious since we both have put on weight..
Ghee / Butter , Cheese , Sugar
6. Name three things you have to use in most recipes ?
Garlic , Cumin , Coriander Powder..
I add literally garlic and cumin to almost 99 % of my recipes . Their presence will definitely be there even though it's not listed under the ingredient in my blog...
7. How important is eating meals together as a family to you?
Being together is more important to have a mellowed life style.. Having meals together, sharing everyone's views, chit chat , feeding /giving each other's favourite when u find it on ur plate , looking @ ur baby's/kid's smile for making their favourites, sharing news ,family talks, ... on a table or on the ground like a typical village /town style makes everyone's day completely filled with joy ,balance and fully satisfied.. What more can u ask for !!!!
8. You do not like a particular dish at your favorite restaurant, what will you do ?
It's very simple.. I won't eat. If it is their fault surely I'll return and asks for a better one.
Now to the second set of questions
1)Are you a vegetarian, or have you thought about being one?
Nope, am not. Anyways I don't cook NV everyday. We eat only once for a week. I don't think thatz a problem. I don't think being a non vegetarian is a sin bcos it's what I'm and thatz how I's raised to eat !!! so , No big deal ..Huh..
2)Who inspired you to cook or bake?
Actually there are two amazing people I must mention now who introduced me and taught me all the basic and almost all the cooking wonders am into now. They are my Grandma (my father's mom) and my Mom.. They are the most fantastic cooks I've ever seen..
3) How do you celebrate Christmas?...or a favorite holiday of your choice?
We always have a blast for every Deewali, Pongal or any most imp festival.. But mostly it will be a family occasion. Going to temple, sharing foods /sweets with relatives/friends,calling and wishing people living overseas, watching TV programs, having mom's best dishes ...altogether a simple but a splendid time with my family..Now, the same tradition follows with my H too ..
4)Do you prefer to celebrate New Year's Eve with friends and/or family, or prefer to ring in the New Year quietly, and privately, at home?
Ofcourse with my family only .. We always cut the cake exactly @ 12 a.m on January 1st and in our area they will fire crackers. So we would go out and watch all those , while they are out watching ,I'll slowly gobble few of the cake pieces inside without making any noise..Hahaha.. I miss my parents and all the fun while i write this..sigh...
5)If someone were to ask you to bring dessert to a party, what would you bring? Store bought, or homemade, and if you were to make homemade, what would you make?
Definitely Home made. I cannot restrict myself saying only one dessert. Actually ,my mood swings every now and then.. I would make either Gulab Jamun or Rasagulla or Carrot Halwa or Milk Khova ..My choice of dessert entirely depends on how much of time is left and my current situation..
6) How will you celebrate your next birthday?
Actually, My birthday was on last month.. I din't celebrate it. I've started to feel " It's just an another day "..I think am not going to celebrate ever again... Moreover, everything would be within our family and thatz how we are planning to celebrate our baby's First birthday also .. But planning to throw a party for both of our family and relatives once we get back home..
7)Do you have a New Year's resolution-and will you be sticking to it?
Never made one .. Promises are meant to be broken .. So are the resolutions..
Thatz my opinion on this one..I am passing this questionnaire to some of my fellow blogger friends
Let the good work spreads... ;)
