All purpose flour -- 2/3 cup
Almond paste -- 8 Oz ( I used freshly ground almond paste )
Sugar -- 1 1/3 cups ( only 1/3 cup if u use storebought almond paste )
Eggs -- 4 nos.
Salt -- a pinch
Baking Powder -- 1/2 tsp
Butter -- 1 stick --softened
Slivered almonds -- a handsful --for topping
Preheat the oven to 350 F .Take a mixing bowl and add the butter,almond paste and blend this both until mix together. Then add the egg slowly one by one and mix it.
.Do not beat it for long ( Do not dump all the eggs at once ) .Add the sugar as well and blend it.Take a seperate bowl and add the flour,salt and baking powder and mix it using a whisk. Add this flour mixture little by little to the wet mixture and miix it properly..
If u use storebought almond paste, bake it for 30 minutes. Always keep an eye on the cake since the oven may vary ... Njoy !!!
