Vanjiram fish fry

This is the only fish VJ' eat .For no reason i don't know i hate this fish but after coming US, VJ restricted himself from eating seafoods. All of a sudden he asked me to get this fish when we were in Korean shop and I'm so happy to make this for him... This time am making it bit different, like village style , rather than the usual simple one..

Ingredients :

Vanjiram /King fish -- 4 slice (mine was so big ,say an inch thick it was..)
Red chilly -- 3 no.
Shallots -- small -- 2 no.
Turmeric powder -- 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds -- 1/4 tsp
Pepper corn -- 6 to 7
garlic (peeled)-- 4 no. (my garlic cloves were big )
Salt -- to taste

To fry :
Oil -- as  reqd

Method :

Clean the fish slice and drain the water. Grind all the ingredients except fish ,without adding water. Apply this masala on the fish and marinate for minimum 2 hours. I kept mine overnight. In a pan add the oil and fry the fish until it turns golden brown.. It goes well with Rasam..

Note :  Adding more garlic cloves takes out the fishy / fleshy smell and it adds good flavour...
