Ingredients :
Baby lima beans (frozen fresh) -- 1 bag
Onion (juliennes) -- 1/2
Urad dal -- 1 tsp
Oil -- as needed
Salt -- acc to taste
Multipurpose masala powder -- 2 tbsp
Tomato -- 1/2 (chopped)
Method :
Thaw the frozen beans for atleast 1/2 an hour.U may refer to my previous entry for masala powder. In a wide pan, add the oil and roast the urad dal. Then add the onions, tomato and fry them well. Now add the the beans and saute them for may be minute or two. Then add a cup of water,salt and cook it for five minutes. It cooks really fast. so keep an eye on beans. Whne the water is all dried up, u may add the masala powder and stir continuosly for 2 minutes. It gets coated everywhere and it would be nice brown in texture.. ( i love when it turns really dark brown that makes crispier ..haha)
Switch off and serve .. A perfect side dish for any veggie meal.
