Urulai Fry /Potato kaara kari

Ingredients :
Potato (medium ) -- 4 no.
Oil -- 2 tbsp
Onion -- 1/4th (chopped finely)
Salt -- acc to taste
Red chilli powder -- 1/3 tsp
Turmeric powder -- a dash
Curry leaves ---few
Method :
Boil the potatoes in the pressure cooker for 5 minutes. Take out and rest for few minutes. Once it's cool, peel the skin and cut into big cubes. In that add all the dry powders (given above ) and combine well. Set aside.

 Take a wide pan and pour the oil. Once it's hot add the onions and fry till it becomes translucent. Now dump in the potato masala mixture and stir. Do not disturb for a minute and again stir. Repeat this process for 2 to 3 minutes and switch off . For those who wants their potato to  be fried crisp just like my hubbie ,can go ahead & fry it for some time more and switch off. But,in general, kaara kari is supposed to be like a semi fried item. After all , it's our choice to decide how we wanna eat our veggie...
