Surakkai Varuval /Bottle gourd fry

Ingredients :
Bottle gourd -- 1 no. (medium ) (chopped into cubes)
Onion -- 1/2 (chopped finely )
Red chilli powder -- 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder -- 1 tsp
Pepper powder -- 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves -- 1 sprig
salt -- acc to taste
Oil -- 1 1/2 tbsp
Tomato -- 1 no. (chopped)
Method :
In a wide pan add little bit of oil and add the onions,curry leaves. Fry for few minutes and add the tomatoes. Saute the tomato till it gets mushy. Now throw in the spce powders .. turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder,pepper powder.( increase the spice mixture if u have a big b.gourd) Again saute all the mixture till u get rid of raw smell of those spice mixture. Add the surakkai now and scald well. Pour one cup of water and the mixture boil. Cover and cook till the surakkai becomes tender and  all the water
dries out.. Switch off and serve.. Goes well with rice, chappti's.. Njoy
