Roasted Tomato Chutney

I get bored eating the same chutney everytime. All of a sudden i remembered this recipe which my family used to make for tiffin. This taste similar to the one from Murugan idli shop. Y din't i think abt this all this time !!! Am so glad to share this with u all...It's bit time consuming but worth doing it.
Ingredients:
Tomatoes -- Medium -- 2 nos.
Garlic cloves-- 3 pod
Channa dal -- 1 tbsp
Urad dal-- 1 tbsp
Dry red chilly --small--2 nos
Salt--1/4 tsp
Coconut--  1 tbsp (optional)
Seasoning :
Oil-- 2 tsp
Mustard seeds -- 1/4 tsp
Hing -- a pinch
curry leaves -- 1 sprig
Method:
First we have to roast our tomatoes. U need a skewer to insert the tomatoes and garlic one by one like we do for kabab. switch on the stove keeping in medium and place the loaded skewer on the top of the stove and finely roast all the sides flipping it evenly. Be careful while doing it since it will b hot. Once u done roasting leave it for 5 minutes .By the time heat a pan with a tsp of oil and fry the dals ,redchillies until it turns golden brown. Now start grinding the redchillies followed by dals  coarsely .Dump in the garlic, tomatoes and u may add 4 tbsp of water and gring it to a fine paste. This itself taste good. But if u feel like u r missing something u can very well go ahead and add the coconut in this stage and grind. Remove this and season it with a tsp of oil ,hot enough, splutter the mustard seeds & add the hing, curry leaves . Transfer the mixture over the chutney and give it a mix. ..njoy!!!! This goes well with rasam, idli, dosas. So,what's left now..u r rt. time to eat this with dosa. So, next recipe is gonna be RAVA DOSA ..hmm....drooling!!!!
