Potato masala curry

This is a different type of potato masala eaten with puri and chappathi. I'll go ahead and say it goes well with idli and dosa too.. It's very simple and it just  hardly takes 10 minutes  to prepare.
Ingredients :
Potatoes -- Boiled (small) -- 5 no.
Besan flour -- 1 1/2 tbsp
Onion -- chopped lengthwise -- 1/2
Urad dal -- 1/2 tsp
Hing -- a dash
Mustard seed -- 1/2 tsp
Green chillies -- finely chopped -- 1 no.
Turmeric powder -- 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder -- 1/4 tsp
Salt -- as required
Oil -- 2 tsp
Ghee -- 1 tsp (optional)
To roast and grind :
Cardamom -- 1 no.
Cloves -- 2 no.
Cinnamon -- 1 inch
Poppy seed -- 1 tsp
Add a little amount of oil and finely roast all this and in a blender or a coffee grinder ,grind all these into powder.

Method :
Cut the boiled potatoes into cubes.In a pan add a tsp of oil and add mustard seed &let them splutter. Add the hing,urad dal and wait for it to turn golden brown. Now add the onions and the green chillies and saute well for may be 3 minutes. Now add the boiled potatoes and scald them well. In a small bowl add the besan flour and mix it with water. Make sure it is watery and doesn't have lumps. Now pour this into the main dish and start stirring. Add half a cup of water and the ground masala mixture . Combine well. Cover and cook for 3 more minutes. Drizzle the ghee before switching off and mix well. thatz it...Done...
